Intro to Career Research Paper

Mrs. Christian's classes must turn in their responses by the end of the period on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

Today we are going to reflect on your future. What does the future have in store for you?
Part I:
1. What is your current career goal?
2. What are your future plans? (college, work force, military, etc...)
3. How do you plan on pursuing the path noted in question 2?
4. What are you doing to prepare for your future? Discuss the classes are you taking, community service, job training?
5. What training to you think you need to accomplish this goal?
6. What types of personality traits must one possess to pursue this type of career?
7. What type of "extra" training will be required to meet this goal?
8. Where do people interested in this field work? (Geographical Locations as well as placement...ex. Doctors work in hospitals......List specializations)
9.What type of advancement does this career offer?
10. What kind of salary do you think you will make working in this field?


Part 2:
1. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
2. What will the state of the world be like in 10 years? (Think about technology, education, environment etc.)
3. What will typical family life be like?
4. What is your opinion on the future of our economy?
5. What career would you like to have in the future? Why would you be interested in this particular career?
6. What accomplishments would you like to make in the future?
7. What people will surround you in the future? Will you still be friends with the people in high school? Explain why or why not.
